16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned in 7/2019. Pours moderately hazy deep ruby red/pink/orange color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy light pink head with great retention, that reduces to a thin lace cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big sour/tart/tangy red raspberries, fruit skin/seeds, lemon, lime, citrus peel/zest, peach, plum, pear, melon, apricot, red/green apple, red grape/wine, sea salt, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread, lighter peppercorn/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of raspberry, lemon, fruity/acidic yeast, sea salt, and moderate pale/wheat malt notes; with big strength. Taste of sour/tart/tangy red raspberries, fruit skin/seeds, lemon, lime, citrus peel/zest, peach, plum, pear, melon, apricot, red/green apple, red grape/wine, sea salt, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread, lighter peppercorn/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tart/sourness, fruit tang, and light spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of sour/tart/tangy red raspberries, fruit skin/seeds, lemon, lime, citrus peel/zest, peach, plum, pear, melon, apricot, red/green apple, red grape/wine, sea salt, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread, lighter peppercorn/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of raspberry, lemon, fruity/acidic yeast, sea salt, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; with an awesome malt/tart/sourness and tangy fruit balance; with no puckering/astringent flavors after the finish. Fairly crisp finishing. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering sour/tart/tang and carbonation. Medium-plus carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/grainy/acidic/tangy/tannic, and lightly saline mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.5%. Overall this is an awesome fruited gose. All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of raspberry, lemon, fruity/acidic yeast, sea salt, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth, refreshing, and fairly crisp to drink with the modestly acidic/tangy/tannic/drying finish. Very flavorful for the ABV. Not overly lactic/salty. Awesome balance of super juicy/jammy raspberry/lemon and lacto complexity; with a nice pale/wheat malt backbone against acidity for the ABV. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp acidic/tangy dryness. A really enjoyable offering, and impressive spot on style example as expected. Had it on tap previously, was just as good out of the can!
