I had heard from Untappd reviews that others weren’t getting any head from their pours. Same on my end, something about the ungodly amount of marshmallow fluff...
Pours thick and dark with just a few bubbles. There is still a smallish ring around the glass. No lacing on this beast.
Aromas of vanilla, raw (you know, untoasted) marshmallows, bourbon.
First thing that jumps out it rye whiskey before it melds into marshmallow, vanilla, chocolate, a little bit of smoke, oak, bourbon.
This beer is stupid smooth. Smooth and slick, just like velvet. There is just the slightest amount of heat but it’s barely worth mentioning.
Overall, what a fantastic beer. Ascension has been putting out some hype worthy stouts.
