Poured into a weizen glass. Pours a lightly hazy, medium golden amber with a one finger white head with good retention and lacing. Aroma of wheat malt, light lemon and a hint of banana. Flavor follows with slightly sweet wheat malt, hints of lemon and banana with mild clove in the finish. Medium bodied with light carbonation. A quite reasonable take on the hefeweizen style; a bit sweeter than traditional, but very faithful to a German hefe profile. Doesn’t break any ground, but would be welcome in the absence of a Weihenstephaner. This is possibly the same beer as the Doppo weizen and/or Doppo White Beer for Oyster, but I can't find any information online about this version, probably rebranded for export.
