750ml bottle thanks to Steve. Dishwater color pour with small fizzy head. Aroma is light strawberries with some funky tartness. Taste brings some barrel notes to the mix, light tartness too.

500 ml. bottle.
Moderate to vigorous pour yields a 1/2 inch white head over a golden body with no lacing. Nose of strawberry, lemon and oak. Taste mirrors nose somewhat with the sourness taking over big time. Okay feel and overall, an okay to good stab at an American Wild Ale. I added a few sliced strawberries to a 2nd glass and enjoyment increased quite a bit. Cheers!

a really fun new one to me, courtesy of my brother. never heard of these guys before, but this one is basically lambic. its insanely mature, but also insanely sour, with a bold and natural strawberry character to it, unexpectedly good for an unknown to me operation, and very distinctive overall. a pinkish orange color to it, frothing white head from the bottle, lots of rising carbonation, almost looks like a soda. the nose is tangy strawberry, a little sweet jam and white sugar, more fruit than anything else but acid, and less malt here than i would like in something like this. it has some body, but the grain flavor is incredibly minimal. so much sourness that it hurts my tongue and teeth, like sour patch kids candy for a minute there, mostly bacterial but with some cool oaky funk and wine tannins to it, complex underneath the intensity, but its a lot of acid, especially when it warms, too much for me even, but sharing the bottle its fine. i love the authenticity and the boldness of the strawberries, and the funkiness that it opens up with at temperature. fun and different and really well made, but a little too sour overall. i wish for more balance from the grain and a little less intensity. looks like they have a lot of different fruit versions of this one, id love to get my lips on some of the others!

Highway Manor Brewing Co. "Mr. Strawberry"
$7/glass @ Local 44, Philadelphia, PA on 29 July 2017
Notes: Slightly hazy orange-reddish body beneath a short head of white that doesn't last, but of course that's common for sour beers. The aroma suggests "tartness", strawberry and a generic kind of fruitiness, and a light bit of herbal and woody character. The flavor is quite tart, and the strawberry comes to the surface midway through and into the swallow where some dry oakiness and some more light funkiness comes out. The authenticity of the strawberries being "real" is never brought into question, and I think perhaps the herbal and woody character in the nose might be due in part to seeds. Dry, acidic finish with fruit lingering. Medium-light in body and gently crisp. Nice.

Poured from a tall bottle into a Dogfish head tulip
L: Surprisingly clear golden pink pour. No significant head. Barely a wisp of lacing.
S: Funk and strawberry... a bit of lemon. Surprisingly mild nose.
T/F: Tart... bordering on pretty sour with a nice pucker going on. Funky... lemony... definite strawberry and unripened fruit. Light in body and relatively low carbonation. Finish is tart strawberry.
O: An interesting little strawberry forward sour. Drinkable... but on the sour end of tart and I can see how this wouldn't be for everyone. Still a solid beer though and glad I gave it a whirl.
