This is a little hole-in-the-wall neighborhood brewery that puts out some really nice beers. This is my favorite -- it's got the cloudy New England IPA thing down, and while it isn't at the level of the regional giants of the style it is a nice, flavorful IPA to get from a local place. You can drink it at the brewery or take a growler home.

Poured from 32oz growler less than one week filled (not sure when released at brewery).
Looks like an NE IPA should: opaque. But doesn't seem to have the nose and the flavor to back it up. I appreciate that more breweries are embracing the dry hopped NE style (my favorite) but this one needs work. Seems like more dry hopping is necessary to get the taste and aroma of the style. It's not just about the haze.

Poured from a growler filled same day.
A - a muted orange thick with haze. The appearance is distinctly New England IPA.
S - for a fresh IPA there is very little in the way of smell, no distinct fruit notes. Slight malt sweetness.
T - Orange rind, grapefruit and a slight pepperiness. A strongly bitter finish
M - soft, pleasant, pretty on point for the style
O - Not a bad beer by any stretch but not on the same level as the big boys in this category (TH & Trillium). Less bittering hops and more dry hopping would benefit this beer quite a bit

Looks, pours, and smells like a New England style IPA. There is a nice bouquet of citrus on the nose. It is that deep orange-ish gold in color. Visually, it is what I like to see in an IPA. There is plenty of citrus fruit, orange, lemon, lime, grapefruit, in flavor but the finish was off putting. Overall, I did like this, but that finish made it hard for me to like it more. I'd love to revisit this at some point.
