Growler filled about a week ago, purchased at Julios


Pours a nice creamy fluffy 1 finger head that fades semi slowly, decent soapy lacing, but a big chugging pour to get that, super hazy murky candy orange color.

Nose starts dank, mild tropical notes, musty passion fruit mango like, a little citrus orange juice, mild pith, some light zest as well, a little dank herbal resinous piney hop too unfortunately, malts started creamy but turned cereal grainy crusty when the piney hop notes came out, and a bit herbaceous, bit of pineapple as it warms.

Taste starts right off with herbaceous hops, a mild oregano like taste, touch soapy, big dank pine and musty hops, little tropical mango and papaya, into big pineapple, little orange juice cream. Thankfully the pine fades and gets mostly citrus juice and tropical notes. Malts are fairly creamy with a little cereal grainy note, fair bitterness. Finish is fairly bitter, attempts to dry but gets sticky, more mild pine sap and little citrus tropical juice.

Mouth is med bod, little creamy, decent carb.

Overall not bad once you get past the mosaic flavours. Nice citrus, decent tropical notes, malts have their good and bad points. But not too bad so all in all. It has those mosaic like flavours I usually hate, but they were much more muted and didn't dominate.
