Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a very hazy yellow color with a puffy head of white foam. The head has a great level of retention, very slowly fading over time and leaving tons of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is heavy of a tropical fruit smell of tangerine, orange, mango, and pineapple. There are also notes of guava and passionfruit along with aromas of oat and bread. Other lighter notes of a herbal and grapefruit nature are there as well, along with a touch of yeast and a bit of hay.
Taste - The taste begins with a rather thick, but not as sweet as anticipated, bready and oat flavor mixed with some notes of tangerine, peach, and orange. At the same time there is some herbal and grapefruit hop flavors mixed with a bit of yeast and a touch of mango. As the taste advances some of the sweet gets a bit stronger, all while so too does the bread, getting a bit more doughy in nature. At the end there is a bit of lemongrass and white pepper, leaving one with a rather thick and somewhat fruity, but decently hopped taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body is thick and chewy with a moderate carbonation level. For the style and the flavors, the feel is rather well done and makes for an easy drinker that accentuates the flavors well.
Overall – A pretty nice, more malty, but not overly sweet and decently hopped NEIPA. Well worth a try.

IPA - American

Tangy mango and clementine hop flavor from the single hop Citra. Melon rind and sweet stone fruit current underneath. Very soft and smooth feel. A rustic overtone of golden grains from the malt side. The nose is all Citra/citric and sweet orange and cream. Full of citrus based hop juice.

 

Pours a very hazy pineapple color with a pillowy white head that provides moderate lacing. Beautiful hazy. The nose is crammed with dank citrus notes, especially mango, ripe tangerine, and grapefruit, with a bit of pineapple.

The taste follows the nose and is delicious, with the soft mouthfeel addiction the drinkability. Very well executed beer, IMHO.

Hmm. Seeing the reviews here got me excited.

A bit let down, especially after Voodoo Ranger's juice force. Still a delicious beer. But not quite what I expected.

It's a cloudy looking hazy IPA, almost slushy like in appearance which isn't my eye candy for beer.

Citrusy gentle IPA smell, pretty standard. Taste is very good. Feel is incredibly smooth and good.

Taste and smell brought it down just a bit for me. Overall a very good 4/5. Very good to great hazy IPA, just wouldn't call it fully great.

Love this one, especially after a few run ins with overrated IPAs. Grapefruit and pineapple come-on, a very slight tease of something peppery as it lingers, a gentle aftertaste with a hint of bitterness. Golden haze in backlight, a crema more than a head on top - nice to look at. From a two-week old can into an ipa glass poured at home. A keeper if my craft shop keeps getting it - they rotate stock frequently , buy small lots, most cans have dates only two to three weeks. I'll get this again. And again.
