I love Armeno coffee roasters, so hopefully this translates. Canned 2024/12/12
Pours a fizzy foamy 1/2 finger tan head with good retention, whispy lacing, dark almost black with a touch of mahogany light at the corner
Nose starts with fudgey chocolate, cocoa, into roasted malts and a bit of coffee, a little charred roast, hint of spices and maybe even licorice
Taste starts with the roasted malts, a touch charred and very light smoky note, dark roasted coffee but a smooth coffee especially on the back end, into some cocoa, dark chocolate, hints of baking spices and licorice, bitterness from the roasted malts and a bit of spicy hop note, finishes a touch drier but still mildly sweet, the cold brew coffee really shining through on the finish, a bit of a fruity coffee and cashew like nutty note
Mouth is med to fuller bod, a bit rich creamy, med to a bit lighter on the carb, very light warming alcohol
Overall pretty good, I do wish it had a bit less roasted malt up front so the coffee could come through, but thankfully it shines through nicely on the finish
