The pour is mild coffee brown that appears stout black in the glass. The manilla colored head reaches almost an inch in height but leaves sparse lacing.
The taste leaves no doubt about what additive is in this - peanut butter. It comes close to being overwhelming. The stout manages to make an appearance but not without the peanut butter.
The feel, like the rest of the series, is thinner than I think a barrel aged stout should be, but that is just my opinion.
OA, if you came looking for a barrel aged stout with peanut butter, this one would probably make you happy. For me it is too much peanut butter and not enough stout.
