This is a cool, quirky spot close to downtown. They have a huge selection of barbequed meats—I’ve heard good things about it from a meat-eater in my circle—that seems to be a draw as much as their beers. Felt like walking into someone’s living room on my visit. Lots of regulars and a beertender who knew everyone’s names.

I dropped in at Brite Eyes Brewing while I was in Kalamazoo a couple weeks ago. When I visited, they had 5 beers on tap plus 3 ciders (which I believe they also make here). The beers were an IPA, a blonde, a coffee cream stout, a tea-infused amber ale, and a kettle sour session IPA. So, there was an interesting variety in those 5 beers. The kettle sour was the stand out to me; the other beers not so much.
The taproom is funky, hip, and modern; they have a real populuxe/googie sensibility going on, which I really appreciate.
The service up at the bar is good; no complaints there. Though they have a kitchen with sandwiches and dogs and the like, I did not sample it on this trip.

Cute cheery cafe, decent food and coffee, tired some beers. Fun decor, parking is a bit sparse. Staff on day we came was very young. would visit another time.

This brewery is a combo brewpub and coffee house, and as such, is open in the mornings with a limited breakfast menu in addition to the coffee, lattes, cappuccinos, etc. (The breakfast menu lasts thru the lunch hour.) They have been serving their beer for only 6 weeks now, so this is a new brewery operation. We stopped in to try the beers and to have something to eat.
There are only 6 beers available, although they were out of one, so we ordered a sampler flight so that we could try them all. For a new brewery, they have done a great job of creating their recipes and dialing them in to the equipment because we liked each of the beers. Each was brewed very well to style, and each had an equal amount of extra quality touch so that we gave all of them a B- grade. Good job, Brite Eyes!
The non-breakfast food menu is limited to deli sandwiches (4 hot and 4 cold), a few salad offerings, and a soup. The food that we ordered was equally as good as the beers that we had, so this is a good place to visit even if you're not a beer lover. You can add this brewpub to all of the other good ones in the Kalamazoo area. We enjoyed our visit, and we'll go back again when we are in town.
