Nearly black with ample light brown foam. Smell and taste definitely had the ginger as advertised, a bit of malt, some yeast (which I’m assuming is the bread basket part), and some mild hops on the finish. Not delicious tasting in the traditional sense, but strangely more enjoyable than I was expecting, and grew on me as I was drinking it.
