As I mentioned in the Plum Paczki review, these are very nice-looking stouts. Nice retention too of a one-finger khaki head.
The nose is lacking for me; I want to be punched in the face with a cool minty blast. Not getting it here.
Unfortunately the taste follows the nose. VERY subtle mint, and tough to pick it out. Chocolate and mint is one of my favorite flavor combinations, but I’ve found it is tough to nail in a stout.
BUT, as I took my time with it though, the mint did start to come out a little, so all is not lost. Still not as much as I’d like, but this did turn into a pleasant sipper.
Happy to have had it, but not great enough to be taking any more home with me.
