Ancient City Brewing "1st & Gold"
19.2 fl. oz. can "PACKAGE 07/17/24". Sampled on 12/27/24
$2.99 @ Metro Food Mart, Ocala, FL
Notes via stream of consciousness: A hazy golden body is capped by a finger's width of white foam that doesn't seem to want to stick around. The aroma is clean, and fruity with yeasty apple over a grainy malt base. The label lists 8 IBUs and based on the first sip that's completely correct. That's not to say that it's sweet, but it is sweetish, and maybe a little bit out of balance. I'll assume that if you drink this ice cold it doesn't seem that way, and I'm guessing that that's exactly how you're supposed to drink it. I'm not finding any hops but the yeasty fruitiness is nice, and to be honest I wasn't really expecting any hops anyway. In the mouth it's medium bodied on the lower end and gently crisp. DUUUVAL!!!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
