L - brick of haze. Flat in color, brownish yellow orange. Almost murky and a bit mysterious. Delightfully creamy and frothy head. Fluffy with sticky lacing makes it look sugary and delicious. Like angel food cake.
S - lots of sensations. Vanilla orange sweetness and bright peach candy on one hand, and a dank, spicy, peppery mango rind on the other. Blended beautifully.
T - orange creamsicle up front. Lots of vanilla and soft, fuzzy peaches. Hints of melon, but mostly sticky, gooey, sugary, overripe, candied mangos and mandarin oranges. Maybe some bananas and a strong, potent bitterness. Grassy in how it feels on the breath but without the thin, metallic crabgrassy mintiness. Sadly the bitterness is a bit much. Acidic. It's very aggressive and abrasive and seems like Cold Creek went a bit overboard in trying to balance out the juice. When all is said and done, I'm left here licking my chops and subtle blueberry sweeps over the palate. Neat.
F - outstanding. Rich and full-bodied, this is downright luxurious. Pillowy soft velvet cream. One of the best parts about this beer. Provides great contrast to the pointy bitterness, giving the imbiber a fluffy relief.
O - great beer that deserves the hype. My only complaint is that it's too bitter. Can be distracting at times and steals the spotlight from the stellar flavor and feel.

Direct from brewery. Pours clear burnt orange with light head minimal lacing.
Aroma is stone fruit, candied peaches and pineapple.
Flavor follows the aroma
Mouthfeel is typical New England IPA style. Less bitterness
Overall. My 1st cold creek IPA. This is a good beer , but not trillium / hill farmstead /treehouse level This beer stacks up nicely with beers from nebco, beerd and grey sail

for me this is the closest to a TH offering that I have tasted. However.....I found it to be very sweet. The finish however is very good and I was very pleased. The guy next to me ordered right after me and the keg kicked. Taste it while you can.
