From a crowler that is two to three weeks old. Nice pour with ample tan head - but a little thin. Wonderful nose of Maple syrup and vanilla. Incredible balance of flavors - maple, dark chocolate, coffee, and vanilla. There is some sweetness but not ovetdone. Really delicious, but all the flavor is up front with almost no linger.
Mouthfeel - a bit thin for a stout.
Bottom line - this is one hellaciously tasty stout that would easily be world class with a bit more thickness. Taste alone is worth the price of admission.

32 oz crowler purchased today at brewery.
Pours a dark brown/black with minimal head and light lacing.
Aroma- honey up front, maple and roast in the back up. Very impressive
Taste- damn! Very good beer. I really enjoy the honey maple combo. Had double stack from great notion at ebf, and this beer reminds me a LOT of that .
Mouthfeel thin. If this beer was a little thicker my rating would be much higher.
Overall- great first beer from local brewery.

Pours like viscous motor oil, jet black and all consuming. Dark beige head quickly recedes to nothing. The nose on this brew is wonderful, an abundance of maple syrup yields to a roasted coffee/green pepper note, supported by chocolate and honey...please can I have a sip now. As the first sip hits, it is pretty much what you expect your going to get, this is one lovely lady, sweet maple syrup, loads of chocolate, honey grahams, dark fruit, roasted coffee, and toffee, finishes with a dry roasty bitterness. The mouthfeel is silky smooth, carbonation is medium-light, damn this beer is sexy. As I sit here deep in thought, I'm reminded of simpler times and the words of the immortal Kevin Arnold, "I wanted to take her in my arms right there and tell her how much I missed her."
