Boss Flamingo Bronze Ale is one of the rarest beers in the world. Its harmonic blend of hops, malt, and spicy yeast flavors create a surprisingly unique blend of fruity aromas and hop-bitterness. It’s an Americanized, “imperialized” interpretation of the Bavarian Forest Dampfbier. It has never been made before.

12 oz can six pack $10.99 at my local MB. A new "local" beer brand hitting the shelves is always exciting. Never mind it stating: one of the most unique beers in the world". Canned on 7/30/18 opened on 8/8/18
A pretty much clear bronze and copper color, lively, bubbly liquid, most likely from a very potent and excited yeast strain. Bottle conditioned? The white tower of thick sudsy foam is damn impressive.
The aroma is true to the statement, very unique indeed. The nose has a rich spicy quality from the yeast which smells very much like an intense amount of rye. Green grass and kale with a Herbacious scented hops at first, rich soil and then a rather bold red, fruity thing with fruity sweetness and orange tang. Like I said, wildly unique.
The flavor is also quickly summed up by the word unique. Once again...it sure is different. The spicy effect is pretty intense, comes across tasting like rye malt and tangy. The herbal and then earthy hops go along way...fruity, high-toned bitterness rides in which makes the robust yeast and hop flavor combo something to ponder for a while. The complexity is pretty high at this point.
The feel starts out crisp and jazzy, but then the heady, honey tinged dark bready malt flavor and feel crosses over to rather amber or copper style ale malt complexity that makes the mouthfeel medium with some slick malt style finish.
Kudos to Neighborhood Beer Co. For starting out with such a unique style, the only of it's kind I suppose since it's an Imperial versionbof a German classic. The brew is actually very interesting with a bold 7.2 % abv. Dampf!! Dig!

Had this at The River House in Portsmouth, NH. My expectations were tempered, but I was amazed. There is so much going on here. It tastes like Christmas morning. Sweet/Spicy effervescence in full on bloom. I have had nothing like it. -Slainte

NEIGHBORHOOD BOSS FLAMINGO HEFEWEIZEN 7/18/17
Third in the sampler fourpack from the brewery.
Poured from the 12 oz. can into a Tree House stemmed tulip.
a: Clear light amber with a half finger thick white head which receded to a ring of foam and spotty lacing.
s; Estery yeast seems to dominate.
t; Follows the nose, mild hop bite on the mainly dry finish.
m; Lighter side of medium, good body and carbonation tingle.
o; Darker than your average wheat beer, with a less persistent head and somewhat Belgian-like flavor. Definitely different from their other Hefe, Mellow Grove, which seemed closer to a standard Hefeweizen. Higher ABV is well covered, but the 65 IBU seems significantly absent. Nonetheless flavorful, refreshing and worth checking out.

Draught @ Revolution: This one pours a clear golden/bronze color and had a small white head. No lacing. It has a lighter nose. Spice, faint fruits. The taste is good. Somewhat bitter, spicy, fruits and malts. A little bready. Another good brew!

Clear gold with white foam. Smell and taste are the same: german yeast, soggy bread, intermixed with dashes of black pepper, slight herbal hops, and fruit esters of lemon and banana. Feel is bright, crisp, but surprisingly full but not heavy. A novelty at the very least

1 Liter growler, sample given from the brewery.
Clear dull bronze hue, ample white lacing on top. Malty, bready, spicy, yeasty, peppery, & fruity. Very aromatic and very expressive on the palate. Layers peel back with each sip. Quite drinkable for a slightly bigger brew. With releases like this, clearly this is a brewery to watch.

On tap at the brewery on March 12, 2016.
The color is a sort of yellow-olive tone with a slight haze to it.
The aroma has a sort of Belgian quality to it even though it is brewed in the German tradition. I pick up toasted malts, banana, clove, and other spices.
Medium body.
The spicy character seemed a little more notable in the taste with a spicy rather than bitter finale. I enjoyed it.
