NEIGHBORHOOD HALLOWED HAMMOCK KOLSCH 7/16/17
Second of the four from the sampler fourpack purchased at the brewery last Thursday.
Poured from the 12 oz. can into a Unibroue stemmed pilsner
a; Clear gold with an inch plus thick white head which recedfed to thin surface foam and patchy lacing.
s: Biscuit malt and light fruit.
t: Follows the nose in a nice mild combination and a little hop bite. Mostly dry finish.
m; Medium, good body and carbonation tingle.
o; A refreshing kolsch for warm weather consumption, like their previously tried Hefeweizen seems solid for the style.

On tap at the brewery on March 13, 2016.
Yellow, slightly heady pour.
The traditional German pilsener grainy malt toastiness is evident on first whiff with a mild to muted sense of grassy hops.
Light to medium body.
Toasted grainy swetness and a clean hop finish. Everything about this is true to the Kolsch or Pilsener style.

Taster at the source.
Hazy deep straw color with a decent bubbly white head. Crackery bready pilsner maltiness with light sweet fruity esters and a nice shot of spicy floral hops to balance. Well made light easy drinking beer.
