12 oz can : 8/25/17. Opened on 11/9/17 Batch # 120
Pours out to be a totally clear, bright copper color with amber highlights. Plenty bubbly with a thin but lively foam coverage that is just slightly off white.
Molasses and brown sugar malty aroma is pretty awesome.herbal and peppery , smokey cherry wood, bing cherries, dank, over ripe apples, and dry, larfy hops...yeah, man! Very nice.
Imperial copper ale....pretty close. Dense and complex layers of sweet toned but also smokey malted barley. Dominates both taste and feel. Long and sluck currents of charred caramel, smoked cherrywood, brown sugar gets balanced out by herbal, dry-earth leafy hops and a sour but certainly clean finish and feel.
A crispy, sharp body and feel hits ya palate first, then the big malty complexity rides in, bold as life and brimming with sweeet, dense and well, copper-ish flourishes. Add-in herbal, earthy and dry leafy tasting hops for one of the most intersting, unique and complex "Copper ale's" I've ever experienced.

NEIGHBORHOOD JUNKYARD PEDIGREE ALTBIER 7/21/17
Last of the sampler fourpack acquired at the brewery a couple of weeks ago. The highest rated of the four on BA.
a; Clear copper with an inch thick white head which receded to an island of foam and fleeting spotty lacing.
s; Mild caramel malt with slight fruitness.
t; Follows the nose with the malt presence dominating and some hop bite on the sweet to dry finish. Slightly higher ABV is very well covered.
m; Medium, good body and very good carbonation tingle.
o; A fine balanced malty brew, quite similar to any number of English bitters or even an English IPA or two. Unlike the first three in the fourpack, two hefeweizens and a kolsch, this one had no evident German/Belgian yeast notes.

L: Ruby red, clear, originally pours a large head but it dissipates completely
S: Really nice, sweet dark fruit aroma, like figs and raisins. Caramel as well
T: Really great taste, really on point for the style. Caramel, toffee, plum, raisin up front, finishes with a mild but present hop bite. Well rounded and in check, yet everything shines through balance
F: Light body. A little bit heavier than a standard lager but still easy drinking. Higher end carb, crisp
O: Really surprised by this. Was actually referred to this beer by my cousin who I think used to work for these guys. Solid beer, an incredible good iteration of the style. Wouldn't know it was domestic

From the can dated 11/29/16 - Batch 65. Sampled on January 14, 2017.
Attractive looking reddish-amber pour with a modest off-white head. Decent clarity.
The aroma has an odd olive oil note with breaded malt sweetness and a low hop profile. It smells like a home brew that was not quite ready for prime time.
The body is medium or so.
The taste also has that same rancid homebrew quirkiness like overripe fruit but I still get a vague malt character. Mild bitterness. Maybe Batch 65 was not as good as the others.

Review from BeerAdvocate magazine issue #111 (APR 2016)
Bready, Grainy, Clean, Toasty
It’s a rarity to see an American brewery take on this style and absolutely nail it. The clean, toasty, nutty malt aroma and the fullish body with a fresh grain flavor throughout is a solid start. The hop bitterness is quite noticeable, but even at its semi-aggressive level it’s simply big enough to achieve balance. Layered malt flavors open up with each sip, and Junkyard Pedigree is by far the most interesting and flavorful malt forward beer I’ve had in a good while. [Jason]

Growler from the brewery picked up yesterday.
Brilliantly clear deep copper color with a smallish bubbly white head that slowly dissipates. Rich caramel and burnt sugary maltiness dominate the aroma with hints of dried fruits, fig and plums, etc. Light spicy earthy hop aroma. The flavor is pretty deep with caramel and burnt sugary goodness, but there's plenty of earthy spicy hops countering nicely. Rich dark dried fruits round out the flavor quite nicely. Big rich caramel maltiness with enough hops to balance the sweetness, really well made beer!
