On tap at the source.
Slightly hazy light golden color with a thin bubbly white head. Lots of cereal wheaty graininess with plenty of clove and spicy phenols to counter. Somewhat lacking in that rich German malt character that the best examples of this beer have but drinkable as is.

NEIGHBORHOOD MELLOW GROVE (HEFEWEIZEN) SUMMER ALE 7/14/17
A single found in their variety 4 pack, a novel and useful concept for beer sampling and reviewing.
Poured from the 12 oz. can into a Samuel Adams IPA glass.
a: Translucent gold with an inch thick variegated white head which receded to uneven surface foam a a little spotty lacing.
s; Biscuit and light fruit leaning to pear.
t; A combo of biscuit and some light fruit notes. Dry finish.
m: Medium, very good body and some carbonation tingle.
o; A substantial hefe, easy drinking and refreshing. This brewery specializes in German styles and this one definitely qualifies.
