12 oz can..procured at the source a few days ago...."best by 9/15/19"....wow, so they are currently selling out of date cans at their own brew....impressive...

Lightly to medium hazed, lasting darker eggshell cap, leaves low sheeting and ample assorted lacing on the glass.

Def a more then a whiff of jalapeno on the nose with a sweet malt back note. More of the same on the palate....nicely created and enjoyable chili pepper brew...would like to try a fresher take on this one.....

This beer isn't widely available. I was in Charlotte, NC visiting some family and we went out to a restaurant. The name as well as the description intrigued me and I had to have it. It was a really hot, sunny, humid day. In Mexico, on really hot sunny days they make "michelada" which is a beer-based "cocktail" (Google it). This beer is a michelada in a bottle. Really, really tasty.

It was on draft at the restaurant where I ordered it. Came in a plastic 16 oz. "cup". Smelled mostly of barley and a faint smell of smoked jalapenos. But, when I tasted it my socks were knocked off my feet. It's more a lager than an ale, but the addition of the jalapeno seeds just makes the taste awesome -- a bit spicy and smoky.

Was worried jalapeno would override all flavors. Tasty and subtle, leaves a tiny burn at the end. Not bad (and I don't like jalapenos)!

A medium gold, with a fat, fluffy, tall white head that sticks around for a while. THere is an interesting suspension in the beer; it's not what I'd call cloudy, in that it's not evenly distributed. There is a distinct, true jalapeno smell on the nose, but unfortunately there is not much else there. There's a bit more depth to the flavor: the smoky jalapeno leads the way, but there's some sweetness (if not distinct pineapple-y-ness) in the middle, with some malt providing body on the back end. Body is nice...there's not so much carbonation that it competes with or overpowers the sharpness of the spice. Overall, an interesting (and approachable) take on a spicy beer.

Poured from the 12oz can into a pint glass.

Emerges slightly hazy and dark straw slash burnt orange in color. Topped with a relatively normal sized white head. Lacing is average and the head retention, also average, lasts for a good bit of time. No frothiness or out of bounds attributes.

Aroma meets the description of the beverage fairly well. Undertones of jalapeno, but frankly, I got nothing on the pineapple. Standard malt beer underneath the jalapeno with some straw and fresh cut grass aromas standing up. Actually reminds me of some of the Lithuanian beers predominant in the market. Kind of a straw malt liquor aroma but the jalapeno is definitely there.

Flavor is a bit of a let down. Again, jalapeno is forefront with absolutely zero pineapple. The jala flavor is spot on and a perfect dose. Slightly bitter from the jala, hop bitterness lacks. Its a light cream ale style underneath so that is totally acceptable.

Not quote a gimmick beer, but not a whole lot setting this apart. Lobe the jala flavor but no pineapple at all. Got a six pack and will happily consume all six. Working out well for summer time consumption.

Pours - Yellow cloudy not much but a little white head not much lacing.

Smell - Nothing really stands out in the smell to me I get a little citrus and some hops notes.

Taste - The taste is unique the best way I can describe it is raw jalapeno, I got no pineapple and no citrus of any kind. The crazy thing was for all the jalapeno taste there was zero heat.

Feel - Light body good carbonation

Overall - I liked the jalapeno taste but no heat or pineapple probably wont have this again.

On tap at the brewery. You get the sweetness of the pineapple up front, but not much flavor from it. Then you get the jalapeno flavor, but no heat. Overall, it was a nice beer. Decent malty backbone.

Slight jalapeño taste with no heat whatsoever. Pineapple? 3 of us tried it and not one of us could pick up a hint of any pineapple. As with many of their beers it seemed thin with little to no body and no head.
