Would not call this a Stron Ale. Maybe a mild American Barleywine. That being said, it was probably the best beer we tried. A slight Amber color with just a bit of head, no retention. Was a bit hoppy for a strong ale which gave more of the bamerican Barleywine character. As till didn't get the feel it had nearly 9.0 abv.
