This rich dark brown ale has flavors of pecan pie, nuts, dark chocolate, and a hint of coffee finish.

So brown, it's black body; dense and creamy light tan head; long lasting and sticky. Semi-sweet dark malt and cocoa aroma; roasted nuts with a slight coffee suggestion; warm caramel. Rich milk chocolate and cocoa flavor; caffeine; vanilla; slight bitterness pokes through the inherent sweetness. Heavy body; smooth and oily; coats the palate; sweet overall but not cloying.
Sure, this one is on the heavy sweet side of things. Yet it's not so overpowering as to be unbearable. The deep, dark roasted aspect of the malts plus the pecan presence certainly defines the overall character of this beer. It brings some immense depth and complexity to the palate. Very, very nice...

12oz canned on 10-08-19, opened on 12-23-19.
2 finger tan head with very good retention sits on a dark mahogany colored brown ale. Fresh lacing on all sides.
Absolutely smells nutty and rich, like a pecan pie. Milk chocolate. Café au lait.
Earthy, chocolate, coffee with cream, nutty - rich flavors...nicely balanced and well done.
Medium body, medium carbonation. Mouthfeel seems right for a brown ale, not heavy or thin...rides the fence. Full of flavor and smells/tastes like it'll finish sweet but never does.
Good to Very Good. Surpassed my expectations.

I love pecan as a nut, here though was a love-hate battle. Some drinks perfectly tolerable, others seemed like an artificial flavor was added.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a very dark mahogany brown, appearing nearly opaque black in the glass with a half finger dark khaki head with great retention and nice lacing. Aroma of lightly toasted malt and pecans, a little molasses. Flavor is lightly toasted dark malt, pecan and light cocoa. Medium bodied with light creaminess. Well, I expect South Carolina to produce a nice pecan ale and Legal Remedy does it proud. The base is simple, but supports the genuine tasting pecan quite well. Not as sweet as I expected, which is appropriate for a brown ale. Not that complex, but delivers what it promises. Nicely done.
