Inky black beer with a light tan head that leaves quickly. Only a few random spots of lacing on the glass. The smell is a mixture of apples, chocolate, oak and vanilla with a little noticeable booziness. Taste is sweet at first with chocolate and apples. This is replaced with some oak, vanilla and a quite aggressive char bitterness. There is also a bit of heat and booziness at the end. A little lighter bodied than most Imperial stouts but still substantial. Quite a tasty beer.
