Opaque black with speckled brown spots and a finger of brown foam. Coffee beans really bond well to the chocolate fudge, slight vanilla, barley, and soil in the nose. Taste is more muddled but has the same components, coffee emerges victorious from the pack for the finish. Feel is warm, frothy, heavy, and fudgy more than it is percolated, very dark. Nice debut

L: Poured from a bottle to a pint glass. Had a deep, dark, mahogany brown color and a thick, opaque consistency. There was a quarter inch of foamy, tan-colored head that quickly dissipated. Average lacing.
S: A very nice aroma of aroma chocolate, coffee, booze, malt, and wood.
T: Tasted of a moderate amount of bourbon (and its accompanying barrel), a decent amount of coffee (a major component, but less than expected), some dark chocolate (a subtly sweet element), and a good amount of malt (present throughout). A focused and interesting flavor. Not as coffee-focused as you would think, but still flavorful.
F: A below average amount of carbonation with a smooth finish. Medium-bodied.
O: A quite well-balanced, easy to like stout. Worth a look.
