Bottled Feb 2020
Pours a very small fizzy dark head with low retention, bit of lacing, touch of legs, pitch black color
Nose some hot cocoa baker's chocolate notes, a bit of bourbon juice, with a bit of pepper notes, and baking spices, smooth vanilla, vanilla ice cream, a bit of roast, fair cocoa
Taste brings more baker's chocolate and cocoa, rich dark cocoa, a bit fudgey even, fair vanilla, vanilla ice cream and spice notes, a little pepper heat but not much flavor, some baking spices, a bit of roast and coffee notes, a touch of toasted oak and some whiskey characters, little smooth alcohol, a bit of sweet stick finish and a bit more spicy pepper heat,
Mouth is fuller bod but not super rich or chewy thick, med fizzy carb, a little alcohol warmth and fair pepper heat
Overall not bad, decent stout but not a ton of barrel, pepper heat was nice but really wish there was more pepper flavor, but decent in general
