Based on a traditional German Rauchbier with the smoke dialed way back. Red in color, hints of caramel, biscuit and a slight smokiness from the addition of beechwood smoked malt. Hopped with Hallertau Mittelfruh for a clean noble hop profile.

A: crystal clear; amber colored; 1 finger finely pored tan head that receded to a skim cap; little lacing;
S: mild smoke with malt;
T: follows the nose; the maltiness you would expect from a red ale is present - complemented but not overwhelmed by the smoke; moderate bitterness on the finish;
