Last week I was cleaning out our beer storage area at work (Stark Brewing) and I came across a 16oz can of this, dated 13NOV18. It made its way home with me, and then into my stomach on 14MAY22.....
Poured a slightly hazy, rich, deep amber/chestnut color. Had some aggressive carbo, and thin, fine, off-white layer of foam, mostly at the rim. Lacing was solid as well. Nose had lots of malts! Caramel, toffee and brown sugar all added to a nicely sweet aroma. Had a bit of bourbon in there as well. Body was solidly medium-plus, and it was quite smooth.
Flavor? Lots more malty semi-sweetness! Toffee, brown sugar, caramel, a hint of vanilla, plus some more bourbon. Hopping was quite light, but there was a smidge of earthy action going on. A very warming and satisfying brew. Wish there was more.... Prosit!
