A: The beer is nearly black in color—only traces of brownish amber are visible near the edges of the glass when it is held up to a bright light. It poured with a quarter finger high off light head that settled down, but left a short head covering the surface.
S: Light aromas of dark malts are present in the nose.
T: Similar to the smell, the taste has flavors of dark malts—which seem to be of the malt extract variety, but don't have any associated sweetness. There are some slight hints of roasted malts.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and a little airy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation. Only a touch of dryness is noticeable.
O: This beer seems to be a little lighter in body compared to other beers in the style but is rather easy to drink.

Really nice dry Irish Stout. Amazing considering it's made in Germany. Notes of chocolate and coffee and just a hint of smokiness. Not as dry as some, but an excellent drinking Stout.

Third of a litre at the Mashsee/Craft Beer Kontor.
A: Opaque mahogany, thick medium tanned head, which left like it needed to be somewhere else.
S: Coffee beans with slightly fruity aroma.
T: Cream, espresso, touch of tangy fruity bitterness.
M: Smooth with a slight coarse edge.
O: Decent character, sessionable.
