Foxhole Brewhouse

In an older building downtown. Street parking. Longer wood plank bar, plus high top and low tables. Offers a few outside tables on the sidewalk. Adjoining restaurant for food. Open view of the brewing equipment. About nine taps, with a good selection of styles. Open beam ceiling, concrete floor, and mint green painted walls. Laid back and friendly small town atmosphere. Growler fills to go. Pleasant brewing smell in the air.

Nice open space with a good view of the brewhouse, sits maybe 50 inside with a small street side patio. Had a flight of 4 five ounce beers for $9 which included an Octoberfest and 3 IPA's, very enjoyable beers. Nice friendly service in a nice place, I'm glad I stopped in.

 

Fairly typical brewpub with semi-industrial motif. Perhaps in need of a little freshening.
Quality is very good, beers I tried were without flaws and ranged from good to excellent.
Service was excellent.
A nice selection with about 10 of their beers on tap. The barleywine and an IPA were standouts.

 

 

Located in downtown Willmar this place has a nice character. decent sized bar to sit at. You can see the brewing equipment sitting at the bar. also they do fill other growlers, so bring your own.

 

It has the feel of a nice, comfortable, local hangout. In fact, I got the vibe that I was the only non-local in the place. I certainly felt welcome despite that fact though. There were several tables and chairs outside on the sidewalk. If you're hungry, they have a popcorn machine if you like a snack, but the don't serve food. Foxhole is located right in downtown Willmar, so it's a convenient location to grab a bite elsewhere, or there is a pizza place delivers there too. The taproom was a little more than half full with patrons, but the service was quick. Staff was kind, knowledgeable and helpful based on my interactions with them.

I enjoyed the beer that I drank at Foxhole for the most part, and I look forward to returning next time I am in the area.

Flights were $9 and they select the 4 beers. Normally the flight has a cream ale, coffee stout, IPA, and ESB. Full pours were $5-6. They also had 64oz and 750mL growlers. They fill it after you order one (not pre-filled). I don't know if they will fill braulers, stainless, other brewery's glass, etc.
