Cooled, and poured into a Spiegelau IPA glass.
Huge, fluffy, pure white head that slowly dissipates and does not cling much to the glass, leaving behind minimal, sporadic lacing. The shape of the glass made this one look interesting, as the bottom was a semi-hazy, light orange-yellow and the top was much hazier and a few shades darker.
The Insel-Brauerei is about an hour from where I live, and this one smells pretty fresh. Not super or strong or fruity, but with some citrus notes - orange peels, but subdued, so it doesn't have a real bitter aroma. It could use a bit more of a punch though.
The taste is mostly hop bitterness. A little fruitiness, but definitely of the more bitter variety - bitter oranges and some bitter melon (rind).
Watery, with a moderate to high carbonation.
