Copenhagen 26/7 2025. 50 cl bottle from REWE, Rügen-Galerie, Sassnitz. Insel's usual brand design for their Hiddenseer beer with a light tower standing in the sweeping wind on the label.
Pours unclear golden yellow with a big white head. A bit bubbly. Settles as a paper thin layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a sweet malty odor with a touch of sugar mingling with a lightly tart scent of citrus fruit. Sweet wheat. Oranges and tangerine. Lemonade and sugar.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, slightly viscous, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a rather strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong sourish bitterness. Aftertaste is lightly tart with a sweet undertone. Lingers for a bit. Finish is semi-dry.
Solid Hefeweizen.
