16 oz can purchased at the brewery poured into 16 oz glass.
Pours dark brown, almost black with minimal head, reminiscent of coffee. Solid looking stout. (look: 4.0)
Not much of a distinct sent, some spices and whatnot. (smell: 3.0)
As hard as I try, I cannot pick up on the pumpkin. I can however taste the lactose for the cheesecake part of it and the spices that would accompany a pumpkin pie. (taste: 3.5)
The high abv is hidden well. Has a bit of a malt flavor that lingers between sips. Felt a bit flat, could be due to age since this was first brewed for Halloween 2022. Has an almost creamy finish (feel: 4.00)
Overall a decent Imperial Stout. The flavor of malt and spices goes well together. The fact that it hides its high volume well make it quite drinkable. At $11 a can i would probably not revisit this one if offered seasonally. (overall: 3.5)

Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a very dark mahogany brown, appearing nearly opaque in the glass with a quarter finger khaki head that dissipates slowly to a thick cap with light lacing. Aroma of dark toasted malt, cheesecake, pie spices, light pumpkin and a touch of lemon citrus. Flavor follows, with dark toasted malt, vanilla, pumpkin pie spices, cheesecake (ish), rum. Some spice astringency in the finish. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. The aroma is uncanny in its cheesecake character, although it is more generic then pumpkin to my taste. The flavor is even more generic; I can taste cheesecake, but it could be any rich, light vanilla desert like flan or cream pie. Very light pumpkin character. Rather sweet and definitely a dessert stout. Fortunately cheesecake isn't actually very cheesy tasting (actual cheese in beer sounds off-putting to me) and does seem to be as good a dessert adjunct as any. I'm gravitating away from sweet stouts and this is fine at first, but a little to sweet for 16 oz, although not quite cloying. Liked it well enough and extra points for totally nailing the cheesecake aroma. Interesting concept well brewed.

Poured a black body with minimal and lace down the glass. The description states inspired by pumpkin cheesecake and I do get a strong pumpkin spice/smell in aroma but nothing in regards to cheesecake. Thick beer, a tad sticky, has pumpkin spice and sweetness with a bready "cheesecake" feel. The ABV is hidden but the beer is cloying and is mostly brown sugar with notes of "pumpkin cheesecake".
