Reviewed from notes. Had on-tap at the brewery 3/30/24. Served in a straight-walled pilsner-type glass.
A: Hazy to turbid, light gold. Persistent one-finger white head. Visible carbonation on the low side.
S: Tropical fruits, pineapple rind, milder dank and apricot. Seems New Zealand-y. Mild biscuit malts. Pleasant.
T: Thin pineapple rind, citrus pith, mild apricot again. Touch of blueberries as well. Mild dank and spicy melon. Light pillowy biscuit malts. Mild bitterness near the end, but ends rather abruptly into a lingering pineapple rind.
M: Alcohol flavors low, carbonation level is adequate. Mouthfeel is typical of NE IPA - light and pillowy.
O: Plenty tasty, and mildly different - which I find is a challenge in this style, though I usually enjoy the style fine. More pineapple flavors than most. But ultimately nothing I'd be in a particular rush to repeat.
