Very dark with a brown head that left a good amount of lacing. Aroma was of chocolate with a hint of smokiness. A hint of spiciness from the hops but definitely not a hoppy beer. A nice malt flavor with the chocolate and smoke prominent there as well.
A heavy beer but clean. Very drinkable. Good for shorter days and longer nights. I hope they serve it again next fall.
