16oz can. No dating information found.
Clear, medium amber colored body. One thick finger of off white head, but this disappears and leaves a bubble fed surface storm and thin ring. No lacing
Aroma is sweet toffee/caramel, with a bit of green apple/lemon.
Taste is woody and earthy. Sweetness emerges mid-profile, with a caramel flavor. Light touch of citrus. Minor bitterness in the aftertaste.
Medium mouthfeel. Smooth and clean. Okay carbonation.
Good for session work. Lower level of carbonation may keep the bloating to a minimum.

Pours dark amber with medium sized tan head that rapidly disappears. Minimal lacing. Aroma is roasted caramel malt. Flavor is sweet dark bread, caramel, and some earthy hops. Feel is light bodied with ample carbonation. Overall, a very tasty beer. Worth looking for.

Opaque but shimmering chestnut brown body, off-white cap. This is caramel malt the whole way in smell and taste, definitely on the sweeter end of the style spectrum. In the nose there are accents of brown bread, taste finishing faint botanicals. Feel is well done, obviously malt forward, but the hops and yeast emerge well by the finish

Flavor: Moderate falvors of rich bread malt, some bread spice, sweet caramel malt underneath. (4.00)
Feel: Medium to lighter bodied, average carbonation. Drinks smooth and goes down clean and easy. (4.25)
Compared to Eagle Park M.C. Hammerschlagen 9/18/22: Pours darker, milder aromas. More smooth caramel, toasted malt. Less sweet honeyflower, and earth. Dryer and cleaner with less flavor.
Compared to Raised Grain Doktoberfest 9/18/22: Pours darker, milder aromas. More smooth caramel malt. Dryer and cleaner with less flavor, but similar. Winner: Doktoberfest
Compared to Hillsboro Friday Night Lights 10/14/22: Pours similar, larger head. Similar aromas. More bread and honey. Similar toast and brown sugar sweetness. Slightly fuller and more flavorful.
Compared to New Glarus Staghorn 10/14/22: Pours lighter, milder aromas. More bread and baked malts. Less brown bread and toasty malts. Lighter cleaner, and flatter. Winner: New Glarus
Overall: An good Marzen here and this one is almost there. A nice pour, but needs to kick it up a notch in the aroma and flavor. The body is excellent and the flavors are dynamic and there, but need to pack more of a punch. Nice smooth rich baked bread, toast and caramel notes. Honey too. Yeasty with decent carbonation.. Drinks soft and smooth and very drinkable. Hides the alcohol well. It just needs it dialed up a notch in the aroma and flavor and this one could be very good. (Rating: 3.97, close to great, but needs more flavor)

Appearance: Pours a clear, orangey body with an inch of off-white froth. Modest lacing.
Smell: Sweetish accent of toffee, coagulated sugars. Aromatic hints of herb (dried), fruitskins, loaf bread. Little sniff of alcohol.
Taste: Sweetish maltiness, a flash of crusty bread a glaze of toffee. Slightly fruitskin element, hinting of berry and of lunchbox apple. Lightly herbal, earthy hop character, minimally bitter. Again, a little spritz of envigorating, enlivening alcohol which still lurks amidst the lightly drying finish (though still some lingering sweetness).
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied (albeit light-leaning). Medium carbonation.
Overall: Above-average.

This beer pours a clear darker golden color. The head is a creamy, frothy white color - 1 finger. Retention is excellent. There's a tornado of carbonation bubbles rising in the glass.
The nose is slight, but I do get malts on the nose.
The taste is creamy, malty, a hint of sweetness.
Fairly decent body, and I do get a lingering carbonation bubble feel going down.
I'm quite impressed with this beer. Brewing Projekt did a good job with it.
