16oz can, snifter glass. Pours a dark cola brown body, one finger offwhite head, short retention, not much lacing. Smell is cocoa powder, chocolate, toasted grain, sweet lactose. A bit of coconut, certainly follows the german chocolate recipe here. Otherwise, the flavour is a bit more muted, mostly sweet lactose, a bit of grain, light cocoa, milk chocolate. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, lighter in carbonation, lots of lactose on the finish. It works well for a 5.5% ABV beer. It's not a big trendsetter by any means but it's a solid beer.

This was a nice chocolate milk stout. It wasn't too sweet or too syrup heavy. I didn't pick up much coconut and had to really work to find it. It was good, but I really wanted coconut!
