Marielyst 13/10 2025. 47,3 cl can from The Beer Hive, Amagerbrogade, Kbh. S. Red can with cow in a western outfit standing in front of green cacti - one hiding a Owl.
Pours opaque dark brown with a big beige head. Stable. Settles as a thin, but unbroken almost transparent layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a sweet pleasant odor of chocolate and sugar with a light touch of alcohol. Milk chocolate, cream, and brown sugar. Lactose.
Light carbonation. Rather thick, oily, Soft, creamy, slightly viscous, gently tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with strong sweetness followed by a medium strong sourish bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter. Lingers for a while. Finish is dry with a touch of sour milk.
Sweet and sour at the same time. Soft and creamy.

Brewing Projekt Irish Cow Cow Milk Stout, 5.4% ABV. Pours thick and black with a real nice 4+ finger medium-brown head that left slight lacing. Nose is strong cocoa, Irish cream, and lactose, taste follows, slightly sweet, slightly bitter. Excellent mouthfeel, overall outstanding.

16 oz can, no date, into EBC Teku.
I was a big fan of regular Cow Cow (which we've yet to see distributed here) so I am looking forward to this.
Pours a light brown from the can which forms into a nearly chocolate black body and a tall, gelatinous head of 3 fingers with no sign of going anywhere. Once it does recede, it leaves broken looped lacing.
Aromas from the can bring slightly stale Irish cream and liqueur aromas, sharp peppery holiday coffee, nutmeg, and melted chocolate. Once the head fades in the glass, I get some more basic grainy roasted malt aromas, and slight cacao nib.
Flavor starts off with some oddly chalky-tasting chocolate milk, dirty chai mix, perfume, nutmeg/holiday spice, and then a massive amount of very bitter, dirty, oily coffee. Powdered cocoa mix and hop dust on the finish. It really does the clashing "too bitter/too sweet" thing quite a bit.
Feel is creamy and smooth, slightly clinging, but still glides across the palate all the way to the finish. A touch oily. Sticky. Nearly no alcohol heat.
Overall, if it were cleaner, less sweet, and more balanced I'd be a fan. It's a weird one, and this is definitely not a stellar beer. It's just okay to me, maybe even a step below. The Brewing Project likes to mess around with a lot of adjuncts without dialing them in first - this is another example. Maybe in their opinion they got it right. I can't jive with it though. The good part is it's only 5.4%, so I don't have to feel guilty for finishing it.

Medium light carbonation with a just above average body with a slight click creamy feel
Aroma is roasted malt sweet prunes, black coffee, bakers chocolate, and espresso
Taste has a very mild sweetness matched by some equally mild espresso bitterness. Dark bakers chocolate, milk chocolate
Needs to warm up then the flavor and aroma becomes more deep and complex.

This beer pours a pleasant black with a medium sized mocha head. The aroma is immediately creamy, with a dense, almost malted milk quality and milk chocolate. The flavor is remarkably like coffee with Irish cream in it - that slightly toasty, slightly spirituous quality of the liqueur showing up perfectly, with chocolate and very mild coffee. The motuhfeel is thick and rich, not syrupy or clinging, but definitely a little on the sugary side. Overall and wonderful beer, with an eerie quality for the way it immitates Irish cream.

Pours a deep dark (near black) brown with an abundant mocha head that falls away gradually. Aroma is dark roasted malt, slight amount of chocolate. Flavor bursts with cocoa, more than the nose would suggest. Feel is medium bodied, lightly carbonated. Overall a delicious milk stout.
