Worlds of beer and candy collide when The Brewing Projekt gets involved. Mimicking the taste of Butterfinger candy bars, the brewery has this taste in mind when rolling their imperial Brown Ale in chocolate, peanuts and milk sugars for a captivating medley that's sure to soothe the sweet tooth.
Pouring a hazy medium brown color, Fudder Bingerz releases a short and fast dissolving froth, As the bubbles pop, a host of freshly roasted nuttiness, milk chocolate, light toast and coffee all work together to bring the scent of those buttery candies together. Sweet and satisfying to start, the candied peanut flavors are strong on the early palate while the chocolate and vanilla-like creaminess support the peanut sweetness well.
As the flavors roll across the middle palate, the peanut and their freshly roasted character remain in charge. The chocolate, lactose sweetness and ale flavors begin to separate and loose the cohesion that they had earlier. The imperial Brown Ale remains the tie that bonds the flavors with its light coffee, cocoa and nuttiness. Lightly bitter, the bite on the back of the tongue resembles coffee and takes an edge off of the pleasantly cloying finish.
Full bodied, sweet and malt forward from start to finish, the strong ale finishes spicy, sweet and savory. But a cola-like aftertaste starts to highlight the beer's extract qualities and has a sensation of wax and oil left on the tongue afterwards.

Appearance: murky brown with not heard. Not really a presentable beer imo.
Smell: delicious notes of peanuts and chocolate. Much like a Butterfinger candy bar. Nothing artificial either!
Taste: nutty and chocolatey but not as robust as the smell. Sweet but it seems the the roasted nuts keep it balance and not cloyingly sweet. Very malt forward as expected in a brown ale.
Mouthfeel: medium bodied. Little carbonation.
Overall: at first I was a little skeptical, but I was proven wrong. A great beer, I hope to drink it again.
