Brewing Projekt Resist Double Vanilla Milkshake NEIPA, 7% ABV. Pours hazy orange with a three-finger white head that left foamy lacing. Nose is strong vanilla and lactose. Taste is strong vanilla, lactose, slight citrus, slight sweetness, moderate bitterness. Decent mouthfeel, overall excellent.

Appearance: Cloudy orange, good head.

Smell: Sweet vanilla frosting, then gives an orange creamsicle aroma.

Taste: Sweet but not overpowering, orange creamsicle flavor—a little bitterness from the oranges and vanilla, but not too much vanilla. Full bodied. Finish has both a bit of citrus bitterness and vanilla.

Overall: Checked out the Brewing Projekt in Eau Claire. Nice facility with all sorts of space to hang out. Grabbed a 4 pack of this milkshake IPA, it's pretty good! Not a total sweetness bomb, pretty nicely balanced. Like it better than Surly's orange cream beer.

16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned in 11/2019. Pours opaquely hazy golden/orange/amber color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky off white head with amazing retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of huge mandarin orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, coconut, guava, blueberry, gooseberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, pepper, pine, vanilla, cream, wheat, white bread dough, toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Amazing aromas with fantastic balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/fairly earthy hops, vanilla, lactose, and bready malt notes; with big strength. Taste of huge mandarin orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, coconut, guava, blueberry, gooseberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, pepper, pine, vanilla, cream, wheat, white bread dough, toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light pine citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of mandarin orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, coconut, guava, blueberry, gooseberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, pepper, pine, vanilla, cream, wheat, white bread dough, toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Amazing complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/fairly earthy hops, vanilla, lactose, and bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and no lingering hop astringency after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/bready, and fairly sticky/resinous/rindy mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 7%, with minimal lingering hop burn after the finish. Overall this is an amazing milkshake IPA! All around amazing complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/fairly earthy hops, vanilla, lactose, and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mellowly bitter/resinous/drying finish; great soft/silky feel. Amazing Citra/Mosaic profile. Super juicy, and fairly dank/earthy hops; with an awesome vanilla, lactose, and wheat/oat/malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. A highly amazing offering, and top tier style example. Loved the hop profile as expected. Definitely one of the best milkshake IPA I've had, like a tropical fruit smoothie with vanilla in it.

16oz canned 11-26-19. Opened 1-17-20.
1" white head, decent retention to 1/4" with sticky lacing following behind. Fully opaque and murky gold with some brown leaning tint.
Vanilla ice cream. Oranges. Cream. Very appealing depending on your affinity for vanilla and cream.
Peach - nice ripe flavor, blueberry and vanilla cream. Peaches and cream. All works very well...nothing tastes artificial, very tasty.
Full body, soft mouthfeel...low to medium carbonation. Vanilla finish that lingers and a mild citrus rind bitterness tags along.
Very good.

Can. White head with some lace. Murky hazy dull gold color.

So much vanilla/marshmallow flavor. Orange, mango, papaya, and passion fruit. Tropical, fruity, soft, and sweet. I really like this one.
