16 oz can, no date but says "Sup Bro". Sup, indeed my brother.
Ploughshare glass (RIP guys, I didn't like your beer but you made my favorite glass)
Has a hazy but not juicy appearance, which is in stark contrast from the original DMT, which I had just previous. I wonder what changed? If it's just the hops, it surely couldn't look different. So we'll see. Has a tall fluffy head like the original though with some clinging fluffy lace.
Definitely a wild and new hop varietal here. On the nose, I'm reminded of when I bulk purchased a bunch of "new" hops from Yakima Valley, and they were different than anything I've smelled before. They smell like freezer burnt hop pellets and that is perfectly fine with me. Could honestly be a daughter of Calypso and Callista (hell if I know). The aromas it produces are banana, marshmallow, orange marmalade, strawberries, and boysenberry yogurt. Some slight lawn mower. Has a distinct sugary sweetness to it, too. Like an orange julius milkshake almost.
Flavor is less sweet and more "beery", bringing some traditional stale grain lager flavors and some cut grass. On the finish (just like their Forbidden Discovery), I get that sweet sweet cantaloupe (must be the SABRO, BABY!!). Since I'm a sucker for cantaloupe, I gotta love on this beer a little, even though it is a bit underwhelming otherwise.
Feel is semi-juicy, drinks a bit like an APA, has a moderate carbonation, some mild-moderate heat, but nothing totally signaling the breathtaking characteristics of an NE IPA mouthfeel.
Overall, not one I'd visit again, but I'll definitely finish the can. I like Sabro hops, and I think Forbidden Discovery is a better use of them from these guys than this particular varietal. They've made me a believer in Sabro though. "It's gonna be a good day, with Dunder Mifflin and Sabro...e?"

Another mindblower from TBP. I was mindblown the second I opened the can and took a whiff. Bubblegum! Except not artificial at all.... very organic smelling, citrusy bubblegum aroma, with that RICH backbone of the usual DANK Brewing Projekt malt and yeast.
Now, we got to know what hop this is -- SABRO. But what yeast? What malt? Hell, what ABV!?!? As much as I absolutely ADORE TBP, I'm pretty disappointed by the lack of transparency here with information on the can. No malt, no yeast, no ABV listed! Pretty sure there was no "canned on" date either, which is huge.
But these guys may very well be my absolute favorite brewery. The most sacred ales I've ever had in my life are from them. It's something in the way in which these hazy bois from TBP are almost like food. There's something undeniable WHOLE about this beer. So thicc. SO aromatic. This one in particular has the most beastly aroma. It's truly astonishing.
It would be nice to see this same brew, but STRONGER! Single-hopped DOUBLES comin out TBP would be sweet. Or even just one percentage point higher ABV, to really give a balancing FIRE and BURN to these most sacred IPA's.

Can. Has a darker than normal hazy orange color. White head. Lots of lace.
Melon, mandarin orange, tangerine, and bubble gum. A little sweetness. Maybe some strawberry. Soft and easy drinking. Really solid. As it warms, pineapple shows a lot.
