16 oz can from Tavour. Purple pour with patchy head. Aroma is sweet milk sugar with the berries coming in behind. Taste comes in sweet , berries up front, layered on a creamy, milky base.

My first venture into milkshakes of the alcoholic variety, but it has a bunch of stuff in this 16 oz. can that I like, so I’ll like it. Right?
Looks like one of those healthy anti-oxidant drinks, complete with plenty of protein floaties. Light amber. The nose is dominated by blackberries & not much else.
Resist – Berryz & for poop’s sake, this actually tastes kind of like a smoothie. Slick & fruity, & again the blackberries hit like a ninth grade linebacker, with an undercurrent of blueberries. I like blueberries. Funny story about blueberries, bees, & a thunderstorm on Nym Lake around 2004, but that’s for another day. Mid-palate that milk sugar rushes in & causes at least three cavities & my dopamine is spiking at least 73%. Four ounces would have been ideal.
Well. My first milkshake, & the expected hatred never developed, in fact, this is a good, solid beer. Excellent in a very small taster.

16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned in 11/2019. Pours very hazy/cloudy deep ruby red/orange/amber color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice dense spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big juicy/tart/tangy blueberry, blackberry, fruit skin/seed, mandarin orange, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, citrus peel/zest, light peppercorn/pine, vanilla, cream, wheat, white bread dough, biscuit, light honey/toast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of berries, citrus/fruity/tropical hops, lactose, vanilla, and bready malt notes; with big strength. Taste of big juicy/tart/tangy blueberry, blackberry, fruit skin/seed, mandarin orange, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, citrus peel/zest, light peppercorn/pine, vanilla, cream, wheat, white bread dough, biscuit, light honey/toast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness; and fruit tang/tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy blueberry, blackberry, fruit skin/seed, mandarin orange, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, pine, vanilla, cream, wheat, white bread dough, biscuit, light honey/toast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of berries, citrus/fruity/tropical hops, lactose, vanilla, and bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness and tart/tangy fruit balance; with no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitter/tartness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/bready, fairly sticky, and lightly resinous/acidic/tangy/tannic mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 6.5%. Overall this is an excellent fruited milkshake IPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of berries, citrus/fruity/tropical hops, lactose, vanilla, and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mellowly bitter/tart/tangy/drying finish; great soft/silky feel. Awesome Citra/Mosaic profile. Very juicy hops/fruit, with light dank/earthy notes; and a nice sized lactose and wheat/oat/malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering dryness. A very enjoyable offering, and impressively well made style example. No complaints.
