Picked this up a few months back at the Marketplace Foods in Rice Lake, Wisconsin when I was passing through there. Never had anything from the The Brewing Projekt before and the high ratings for this led me to give it a go. This was quite strong as it's listed ABV was 10.11% and not the 9% posted on here, as this was certainly true to form through and through. No doubt that it was good for a windy Christmas Eve, but the alcohol and overwhelming array of flavors was just a bit too much for me!
Of course, this had a dark hue to it was quite thick and had the appearance of melted chocolate, with a moderate mocha head topping the liquid off. Very little lacing was left behind as the hazy sheen the lingered on my glass was much more noticeable. Lots of milk chocolate and cacao nibs on the nose as the bourbon and booze really kicked in on the palate once this fully warmed up. If was possible to take a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup and ferment it in a bourbon barrel, this would probably be the end result. It was fun to try but a bit too full of peanut butter slickness and overt heft for me to rate any higher on here.
Had this been more rich and decadent, this could have been one of the most notable Stouts that I've had in quite some time. Loved the label but not the lack of a canning date, although this held up well since I obtained it. Fitting for Halloween, this was still timely for today and would be a nice choice for a frigid day such as this. Just grab some marshmallows to toast and you're all set!

Pours a thick black color with a dark mocha head. Smell is fresh roasted peanut butter and chocolate . Yastrzemski is peanut butter fresh and creamy ,some coffee/cocoa, roasted malts and chocolate ..very good. Mouth smooth and creamy with the namesake, One of the better PB stouts I’ve had , and loved the 12oz format.

Aroma is roasted peanuts/peanut butter, chocolate and earthy dark malts. The flavor is peanuts/peanut butter, roasted/dark malts and a slightly vinous/acidic/creeping alcoholic finish.

Wow, this one caught me by surprise. Decadent chocolate and bourbon aroma pour out of the glass. The taste is much the same, wonderfully sweet and rich, but leaves a distinctive peanut flavor lingering on the tongue afterwards. Body is as full and smooth as the best of them. An easy A+ from me.

Can. Khaki head with faint lace. Color is a dark brown/black.
Peanuts butter cups galore! Wow! This an amazing peanut butter beer that actually tastes like Reece’s. Chocolate ran cocoa. Rich, thick, dessert like. Really fun to try. One can is a bit much for me, however.
