Brewing Projekt Breakfast Budz Imperial Stout, 9.6% ABV. Pours black with a nice 3-finger medium-brown head that left no lacing. Nose is an incredible strong maple and roasty coffee. Taste follows, maple up front, coffee on the close, slightly sweet and moderately bitter, very roasty. Excellent mouthfeel, overall outstanding. Nose is much better than the taste, and though it smells sweet like maple syrup, it's not.

Aroma is black coffee, dark malts, chocolate and a hint of the maple syrup. The flavor is black coffee, dark malts, chocolate and an acidic/creeping sweet maple syrup finish.

Can into pint glass. Pours a viscous black with essentially no head. Initial impression is coffee, a slight bitterness (like the coffee was left over from this morning...), and a bit of dark chocolate. Mouthfeel is a bit scratchy but amazingly clean. Overall, a fairly enjoyable Imperial Stout. I'd opt for a bit thicker mouthfeel and perhaps milk chocolate instead of dark, but YMMV. Certainly worth trying!

Look: Poured black as fudge with a half inch camel tan head that disappeared in a blink of an eye to a microscopic ring around the edge. Lacing is OK.
Smell and Taste: Coffee and maple syrup sort of like pancakes and coffee for breakfast. Neither one seems to be the dominate one. Some bitterness left on the palate.
Feel: Fairly well balanced. Can still feel some carbonation on the tongue.
Overall: Got a lot more high gravity stouts to try before I come around to this one again. But if you have a chance, I say, give its a try.

This beer pours a deep brown with a good sized head. The aroma is sweet maple sugar, with fresh coffee. The flavor leads with the coffee notes, then the sweeter maple sugar qualities come through, but not to overwhelm - there is a good sense of bitter, roasty coffee throughout. The mouthfeel is rich but never syrupy, with generous carbonation. Overall a really solid beer, good flavors, distinct, but also well balanced.

16oz can poured into a tulip. Pours almost black; khaki head that fades leaving decent retention and lacing. The aromas have a nice blend of coffee and maple syrup. Hints of chocolate. Malts are there. The flavors follow the nose. More coffee and maple syrup leading the way. More hints of chocolate. Moderate bitterness due to the coffee. Low sweetness despite the maple syrup coming through. Malts do their thing. Alcohol is well hidden. Mouthfeel is full-bodied with active carbonation. It's sharp, spritzy, smooth and dangerously drinkable.

This is a nice coffee stout. The maple syrup comes through without dominating or making it overly sweet. The maple syrup blends well with the coffee and adds a little complexity to this one. It's bold but very balanced. It's enjoyable stuff. I like it.

Pours a semi thick dark mahogony color with a quickly dissipating tan head . Smell is great fresh coffee maple and vanilla. Taste has coffee first( not as great as the smell) then maple and milk sugars mix in roasted chocolate malts in finish. Mouth feel is under carbonated and the coffee and maple seem more diluted than the taste. Overall still a good pastry stout featuring coffee/maple.

Can. Tan head. Black color.

Reminds me a lot of MD but much cheaper. Thick and pastry like. Lots of maple syrup. Nice amount of coffee without being roasted. Herseys syrup and chocolate. Thick and rich.
