Pours an opaque rusty red, brief quarter inch head that settles with a few islands of foam, a moderate amount of suspended sediment, faint lacing. Nose is raspberry jam up front, a bit of tropical fruit further back. Jammy tartness follows from the nose, marshmallow sweetness, additional pucker from rhubarb. Thick, smoothy mouthfeel (as to be expected) with enough carbonation to cut through. Overall, succeeds in what it's trying to do.

L: Gorgeous coloration, opaque and somewhere between a neon grapefruit juice and a raspberry puree. An ivory heads fades to a forever ring and cap that leaves thin broken lace lines all over.
S: First the fruity wild ale and marshmallow hit the olfactory, followed by rhubarb, raspberry, and a inseparable blend of guava and marshmallow again.
T: Follows the nose, with more rhubarb standout and the marshmallow more in the background keeping things smooth. There is a sour astringency that feels like hard liquor and reminds me that I'm drinking alcohol still.
F: Smooth and tart, nice balance between sweet fruit and dry booze. Right carbonation. It is impressive how the guava is incorporated without a grainy result as I've often found elsewhere in the smoothie ale craze.
O: The first smoothie sour that I've had which can hold it's own against the likes of Drekker! This is so well crafted. As for whether it is still beer, the ABV will argue that this is. I find the smoothie sour fad (hope it lasts forever) is no different than the pastry stout craze. A lot of things added to beer for a different experience. I am all in with the smoothie train, and other breweries should aspire to this level of awesome!

I’m not even sure if this is beer, doesn’t even matter, you either love it or hate it. Really good to me and exactly what you imagine, so if you cringe at this well crafted recipe it’s not for you. Still worth a try with an open mind. Brewing Projekt slays the slushy game
