16 oz can, no date.
Southern Grist Blue Logo snifter.
Has a juicy smoothie appearance with an orange juice color. No head forms at all.
Aroma is initially super sweet from the can, I get mostly pastry crust and melted pineapple sorbet with hints of vanilla, sugar, and guava. From the glass it's more grain-forward but still mostly pineapple sorbet/popsickle.
Flavor is a weird, clashing mixture of coconut, pastry crust, marshmallow paste, orange juice, and grapefruit juice. The grapefruit juice follows after the orange juice and has longer staying power. Flirts with being too sweet but doesn't entirely cross over. 60% sweet, 40% sour. Closes on an odd note, what I'd call like a guava pie crust finish.
Feel is essentially carbonated orange juice, very zippy, very juicy and slightly sticky, not much for heft or depth. Alcohol is not really a factor, and finishes like OJ would too.
Overall, for a 5.xx% beer, it's hella tasty...it's just the wrong kind of tasty. Kind of a disaster, which is a first for me in their sour line (but not their other beers). Comes across like a liquefied bakery after a fruit fight. Would not revisit at its price. Not worth $5 a can. Instant stomach ache.

Brewing Projekt Manduava Puff Tart Fruited Sour w mandarin orange/guava/pineapple/vanilla, 5.6% ABV. Pours gloppy-thick and hazy brilliant orange with no head. Nose is vanilla, orange, and pineapple. Taste follows, quite sweet, slightly tart. Guava is hiding behind the orange and pineapple. Excellent thick and smooth mouthfeel, overall world class.
