Poured a nice black dark chocolate with a tall caramel head. The head took a while to form but once I raised the can it really got with the program. It slowly melted to a broad ring around the edge with syrup/foam lace on the glass.
Smell and taste of cocoa with a warm buzz from the peppers.
Initial sensation was like drinking a Hot Cocoa. Must be the power of suggestion. Late on taste more like an in Imperial Stout. Good brew for a cool evening . . . or then again, good any time.

Pours a nice pitch black. There's a 2 finger tan head. The head retention is very poor, and there's no lacing on the glass.
The nose seems to me to be a nice dark chocolate aroma. No hint of the peppers in the aroma.
Taste - up front I get a nice chocolate flavor. It seems to me to be more of a milk chocolate flavor than dark chocolate. On back the peppers kick in and stick with me. They aren't too hot, but it's more of a warming flavor.
The body is about what I'd expect from the ABV. There's a warming feeling from the peppers.
Tasty stout.

16oz can. No dating on can nor on label, but should be a relatively recent release.
Black colored body. Quick fizzy light tan head, which totally disappears. No lacing.
Aroma of dark chocolate, vanilla and milk sugar, and cinnamon. Any pepper smell is vegetal.
Taste is sweet, with dark chocolate and sweet vanilla, with the cinnamon spice, but also has the slight heat of the chipotle peppers. The peppers appear first as slight burn, and more fully express at the end. Other than the slight residual burn, the after taste fades away very quickly.
Just about medium mouth feel. Low carbonation. Slight pepper burn on the tongue and mouth, which extends into the throat.
Not quite sure the purpose designed for this beer, as it has quite a bit of sweetness and a moderate level of pepper spice. The taste is not very broad nor complex. May be good with hot spicy food.
