Brewing Projekt Ooey Gooey Concord Grape & Blackberry PBJ Sour, 7.7% ABV. Pours dark purple with a light-purple head which left puree residue. Aroma is peanut butter, grape, and blackberry. Taste is strong grape and blackberry, light peanut butter, quite sweet, slightly tart, moderately bitter. OK mouthfeel, overall very good. Could have been a contender if it weren't for the unexpected bitterness.

Poured from a 16 ounce undated can into a tulip glass.

Look- Burgundy, opaque, large visible particulate, light pink sudsy head, zero head retention, leaves granular residue on sidewall of the glass.

Smell- Blackberry, slight peanut, medium strength of scent.

Taste- Blackberry, very slight peanut, sour, high strength of flavor.

Feel- Full body, sour, highly mouth watering finish, below average carbonation.

Overall- Look had burgundy color with zero head retention and a granular residue instead of lacing. Bouquet and flavors were predominantly blackberry. The feel was full bodied and sour as expected. I had hoped for more balance between the blackberry and peanut flavor, but still an enjoyable experience.

Average for style. Has a strong and tart blackberry flavor but the peanut taste is a lot more crushed peanut and not really peanut butter, no bread notes. Therefore I didn’t find it to emulate what it was attempting to create. Decent for what it is, fall 2022 batch is 7.7%

You know, I tend to stay away from these weird smoothie sour things as they veer too far from actual beer, but sometimes it’s just nice to let loose and pick up some random shit like this just to try it. Peanut butter in a fruited sour? It sounds super out there, but that’s honestly what I’m feeling tonight

Pours an opaque ruby pink with 3 fingers of thick pink head that slowly fades to a cap and leaves decent lacing

The nose here is real weird, it’s reminding me of something I can’t quite put my finger on. Maybe some sort of weird energy drink? Anyhow, I’m picking up on aromas of blackberry jam, sweet strawberry, lemon juice, chalky peanut butter, and even a touch of cocoa powder

It tastes weird too, but it’s a bit more tart thankfully. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting tart raspberry, vanilla bean, blackberry jam, and light peanut butter. The swallow brings notes of blackberry jam, honey, chalky peanut butter, anf dehydrated strawberry

A medium full body pairs with very gentle carbonation, resulting in a thick and smoothie-like beer. Finishes sticky with a tartness that increases over time to dry it out slightly

This one is really out there, but it did technically taste good so I have to give it some credit. Ultimately just a fun experiment
