Brewing Projekt Excellent Find Imperial Stout, 10.3% ABV. Pours thick and black, with a half-finger tan head that left some lacing. Nose is strong cocoa and nuts. Taste follows, slightly sweet, slightly tart, with the cocoa lingering nicely, and salt on the close. Excellent mouthfeel with good carbonation. Overall outstanding. Be sure to let this one warm, cocoa really pops.

Pours dark chocolate brown, with modest carbonation and a one finger head of foam. Aroma is chocolate and hazelnut. Taste is creamy, smooth chocolate with nuttiness at the tail end. The brew is consistent throughout the taste; moderately heavy in body and without holding back on ABV. Nice.

The color is a dark brown with a hazelnut head. Looks decently carbonated and appetizing other than the floating particles of, what I assume is nibs of cocoa.
Smell: hazelnut iced coffee with a tones of chocolate. You really get the nice rich chocolate but the hazelnut brightens it up a little bit. Being an imperial stout you can smell the alcohol just a tiny bit.
Taste: deep notes of chocolate coffee, again the brightness of the hazelnut cuts through the richness of the chocolate to balance it out perfectly. The aftertaste has low bitterness. Not much of a bite with this one.
Feel: the first thought that hits my mind is THICC. Not unpleasantly thick though. You get a creamy touch to it. Still decently carbonated and feels wonderful.
Overall: overall I would highly recommend this beer with the amazing balance of thickness hazelnut chocolate carbonation and the colors of the malts from the head, has been a super pleasant experience. Again The only downfall is the little floaters throughout the beer that make the color not look as appealing..

Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a very dark mahogany brown, appearing nearly opaque black in the glass with a one finger khaki head with great retention and solid lacing. Aroma of dark toasted malt, hazelnuts, cocoa and a little vanilla. Flavor is dark toasted malt, milk chocolate, vanilla and hazelnut. Starts semi-sweet, but a moderately dry finish with chocolate and hazelnut. Medium bodied with silky, moderate creaminess and great mouth feel. A well made and tasty pastry stout. The hazelnut was a bit forward in the aroma, but well balanced in the taste. Great chocolate character with some vanilla to balance it out. I'm finding a lot of pastry stouts are a bit too sweet, but this one, although somewhat sweet at first, finishes with just a little residual sweetness which reveals the underlying flavors more than more cloying one do. This one will encourage me to try pastry stouts again. An excellent find, as promised.
