Chomp Chomp Raspberry Cheesecake

Kettle Sour
ABV 6.9%
It is difficult for me to believe these are beers. I secretly enjoy kettle sours like this; moreover, several breweries have made liquid candy enjoyable. This is my fifth beer from this brewery that I have drunk. Served in a tulip glass around 40 degrees. A hard pour produced a one-fingered pink head with excellent retention. The slow dissipation tatted lacing on the glass. The color is akin to a berry fruit smoothie. The appearance of the beer is excellent for this style.
The aromas of beer are ripe raspberries and cream cheese. Vanilla, shortbread, crackers, and sugar complete the nose.
The raspberries are bright and tart, and the cheesecake tempers the acidity. The sourness from this style gets help from the fruit. I detect crackers, vanilla, and sugar. The beer is heavier on the fruit than the cheesecake.
The mouthfeel is chewy. The body is heavy, has low carbonation, and lasting finish.
The beer is more fruit-forward instead of a balance between what it said it was. Nonetheless, the beer is tasty and I enjoyed it.

Look: hazy, sludgey purple red.
Smell: like the strawberry cheesecake version, this one damn sure smells like raspberry cheesecake. Raspberries and cream cheese.
Taste: like the nose. Slightly tart, cut by creamy sweetness.

Pours muddy red, thick with little to no carbonation and no head. Aroma is powerfully raspberry and taste follows. This is smack your head total raspberry flavor here, closer to a smoothie than a sour. Nicely done!
