UPDATE: This latest batch looked much better and smelled way better than the last one I had just a month ago. It was very tasty and truly special.

Truly a unique brew - about the only thing that I am complaining about is its smell - it was kinda non-existent, or at the verly least, very, very mild. I liked the dark, burnt caramel look, and a very light-bodied mouthfeel. Tastewise it was very flavorful - full of malt and light on hops. One of the more unique experiences I've had with a beer in quite some time.

Appearance: Pours a clear, dark brown body with a loose-looking, sea foam head, ivory in color. Lightly effervescent.
Smell: A malty mix of breadcrusts, store-brand cola, caramel and still-damp spent grain. Slight background fruitiness.
Taste: Chocolaty, cola nut and dry caramel with a restrained sweetness. A subtle perceived earthiness from the wild rice. Scant fruitiness, a hint of herb. Slight, underlying roast accent and dryness nearing the finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium carbonation.
Overall: It's alright.
